Content of teaching: The language course programme
contains lessons that focus on grammar, conversation, reading, listening
and writing.
Levels:
There are Spanish courses for different levels of Spanish. For this reason you will study with students who have the same level of Spanish.
Average age:
20-30 years
Placement test: On the first Monday an oral
and/or written placement test will take place in order to find out the
actual level of Spanish of the students.
Starting dates:
Real beginners: First and third Monday of each month. Beginners and advanced: Each Monday.
. The language
course takes place from Monday to Friday.
IMPORTANT: in high season the language courses can take place in the morning or the afternoon.
Business course standard

This course has been specially designed for people in the Business area who want to acquire the vocabulary and the expressions which are usual in the different areas related to their career choice. In order to participate actively in this course the students should have at least an intermediate level (B1 - B2) of Spanish. The aim of the course is : - To develop the listening and speaking skills of the participants. - To transmit the communicative skills presented and practised in the classroom to real situations. - To learn how to solve problems both in groups and individually. - To learn how to distinguish between formal and informal situations both linguistically and in a socio-cultural context. Study of the grammar, expressions and vocabulary specific to the area of Business. The use of authentic materials in the classroom. Our school gives our students the chance to learn Spanish in an incomparable atmosphere. The programme consists of 20 lessons per week of general Spanish complemented by cultural and social activities. The programme contents: - 20 lessons of general Spanish. - Guided visit of Pamplona. - Special tapas tasting session in Pamplona .Visit to three bars where each person tastes 2 different "tapas" and 1 wine. This is then followed by a dessert tasting session. - Visit to a winery which includes a wine tasting session as well as an explanation on the process of wine making. - Visit to Olite, the ancient seat of the court of Navarra, which includes a guided visit to the medieval castle. The course is 2 weeks long. Start dates for 2010: 17.05.2010, 31.05.2010, 14.06.2010, 30.08.2010, 13.09.2010.

The "Diplomas de español como lengua extranjera (DELE)" are official qualifications issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry for Education and Science. This a Standard plus course, 24 lessons per week, adapted to each level and six weekly lessons dedicated to aspects specially related to the exams. The course starts at 09,00 and finishes at 15,15 from Monday to Friday. The main aim of the lessons is to develop the communicative skills of the students. To achieve this the teachers at PLSI use material from varied sources, such as textbooks, material from the press, tv, internet etc.
